Today we are going to discuss a very serious disease that is diabetes. Diabetes is caused due to the high level of sugar contains in the blood. For this reason, many diabetic patients have to take Insulin which is bad for health and turns to be an addiction. So, today we will be going to discuss Stevia which can be helpful in controlling diabetes and which is a natural process so that there is the harm caused in your muscles and tissues. Why taking Insulin? Have sweeteners or substitutes of sugar which comes with low calorie so that diabetic patients can also enjoy sweet foods and drinks. Let’s discuss some of the sweeteners. The first and widely used sweetener is extracted from Stevia leaves. It is the perfect substitute for sugar and it also has a bitter taste and is costly than other sweeteners available in the market. Next comes Tagatose which is a form of fructose. These are used in low-calorie food products making. This sweetener is always not available in stores. Next is Sucralose which comes from sucrose has a few calories in it and is perfect for sugar-free baking. The next one is Aspartame which is used as a tabletop sweetener but it is a danger for rare genetic disorder people to have it. Fifth is Acesulfame potassium is used with other sweeteners to beat the bitter taste. The sixth one is Saccharin which is sweeter than a tablespoon of sugar but studies say that it can cause cancer but nowadays Food Scientists say that it is safe to consume. The last one is Neotame which 13,000 times sweeter than a tablespoon of sugar and it can tolerate very high temperatures. 

Now we will talk about the most important sweetener leave that is Stevia. Is it safe for consumption or not? As we all know that that Stevia is a natural sweetener with numerous benefits and also it helps lowering down the blood sugar level. After the refining process of these Stevia leaves is done it is considered safe but the whole leaf is still in the research process. Still, Stevia has a few side effects but it is considered the best substitute for refined sugar. It also has some impressive health benefits like reduced calorie intake, blood sugar level, and also lowers the risk of the cavity. It also controls the cholesterol level of your body. According to the reports and survey, Stevia can be used in food products and consumed but strictly follow the doses prescribed by your doctor.

Diabetic patients and also dieticians prescribe to avoid sugar but what are its substitutes? Let’s discuss it. First and foremost, the Artificial Sweeteners available in the market are the best option for sugar substitutes. Then there are some sugar alcohols and natural sweeteners can also be used as a substitute for sugar. Honey can also be a substitute because it can burn your belly fat from inside your stomach. Also, you can use Maple Syrup for making food products sweeter. So, here you go with a small list of best sugar substitutes. You can consult your doctor for the best advice.

The increase of diabetic patients is still going on and if you want to fight with it you have to maintain a strict and healthy diet. But it sounds easy but becomes very tough in maintaining because all of our sweet lovers and the disease are spread due to excessive sweet intake.  Start maintaining the primary list given above and enjoy your life sweetly by having sweets without any tension.
