Choosing Best Stevia Products: Keep Your Eyes Open!

Stevia Sweetener

Most of you have undoubtedly heard of stevia by now, and I’m completely convinced many of you, like me, as an organic, alternative sweetener. Because stevia is derived from a plant rather than a chemical, it is the safest option if you wish to eliminate sugar entirely.

Although maple syrup, coconut sugar, molasses, agave, and cane syrup are generally natural, they all have a higher glycemic index. Stevia, on the other hand, does not elevate the glycemic index (in its purest form) and has proved beneficial for those with high blood sugar who don’t even prefer choosing artificial sweeteners.

If you went to a health food store to look for stevia, you would probably be overwhelmed by the variety of options. Consumers are rushing to this natural sweetener nowadays more than ever due to the emergence of this popular organic sweetener after years of just having artificial sweeteners to pick from.

However, there is an issue with the vast array of stevia we now have. How to find the best stevia products? However, rather than relying on gimmicky labels and clever marketing, the key to buying stevia (like with most other products) is to recognize, what you’re getting.

Fillers & Additives

Read the ingredient list on any stevia product you find in the supermarket. You are absolutely going to notice more than simply stevia on that list, specifically if it’s a low-cost stevia product. Several store-bought stevia preparations contain also one or more additions to make it more free-flowing.

Stevia products, are some of the most part, will contain one of the following components, so choose one that you feel most comfortable with, or go with pure stevia to skip them all like Sugar Fighter stevia products.

Maltodextrin

a filler derived from rice, potatoes, or maize that imparts a sweet flavor and results in a loose product It also tends to bulk up baked goods, allowing it to be used for baking or stirring into coffee, tea, smoothies, and other liquids without clumping. Because maize is frequently genetically modified, always choose a stevia product that is organic or non-GMO. Maltodextrin is not calorie-free, but because carbs are less than 1 gram per serving, manufacturers may market their products as zero-carb, calorie-free, and so on.

Xylitol

This ingredient is one of the safest available, as it is a sugar alcohol derived from birch trees. It has been shown to be good for dental health, however, it, like other sugar alcohols, may cause gastric distress.

Dextrose

It’s a maize sugar, fruit, or honey-based filler that’s more sugar-like than other substitutes on the market. It’s permitted to be advertised as calorie-free since it’s very low in carbs and calories. It has a sweet flavor similar to maltodextrin, although its molecular form is nearer to sugar than maltodextrin. If you’re on a rigorous sugar-free diet, I’d recommend avoiding any items containing dextrose.

Glycerin

Glycerin, the friendliest of all additives, is a liquid commonly present in alcohol-free liquid stevia products. It is made out of fruits and veggies and has a low glycemic index. It also has a balanced, sweet flavor that makes for a great-tasting product. Most individuals have an issue with glycerin.

Inulin

Inulin, a vegetable-based prebiotic fiber, is one of the simplest additives. However, they don’t consider the fact that it contains vegetables mislead you into believing it’s nutritious. Even though it’s high in fiber, it has little resemblance to broccoli or kale, regardless of how vegetable-based it is. Inulin has also been associated with gastrointestinal problems such as bloating, discomfort, and indigestion.

Erythritol

A corn-based sugar alcohol that is typically well tolerated; however, because it is corn-based, you should attempt to select GMO-free products whenever feasible. Erythritol has a low-calorie count and a pleasant flavor that many people prefer over other additions. It’s utilized in a well-known brand, as well as other products on the market.

Final Solution

However, we are here is to present Sugar Fighter stevia products. They provide outstanding flavor thanks to high-quality stevia raw ingredients, as well as up to 450 times the sweetening strength as normal sugar, and can be enjoyed guilt-free as it is 0 cal; diabetic-friendly & vegan-friendly. you can also read about: Can Stevia Replace Sugar In Baking!
